Mower Maintenance Guide
✅ Before Every Use
- Check oil level
- Add fresh fuel only (old fuel causes most starting problems)
- Clear the deck of debris
- Inspect blades for damage
📅 Every 25 Hours of Use / Monthly
- Clean the deck underside (use washout port if equipped)
- Clean or replace the air filter
- Check tire pressure
- Lubricate moving parts per the manual
🗓️ Seasonally (Spring & Fall)
- Change engine oil
- Replace spark plug
- Sharpen or replace blades
- Replace fuel filter (if equipped)
- Clean or replace air filter
🧊 Winter Storage
- Run the engine dry or add fuel stabilizer
- Disconnect the spark plug wire
- Clean the deck thoroughly
- Store in a dry, covered area
- Remove the battery (riding mowers)
⚠️ Safety Reminders
- Never tip the mower with the spark plug facing down (oil floods the engine)
- Always disconnect the spark plug before working under the deck
- Wear gloves when handling blades
